Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Strong demand sparked another active day in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Traders were busy tending to the needs of their clients while sourcing the many inquiries they had from them. The frustration for traders was not having the mill options they commonly banked on, even if it meant using higher prices from them to quote. The mills would not commit to quoting the items asked for if they did not have them already produced or in production. Many of the orders generated were reliant on reload inventories.
