Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Steady demand and activity kept traders busy to end the week last Friday in the eastern spruce lumber market. Wants and needs that went unfulfilled during the week saw pressure to get covered. Differences in published prices on many items and what was seen in the market puzzled and baffled clients. The exception was 2x4 which the mills had for sale and showed weakness in price throughout the week. The other widths were a different story, being very tight in supply with higher quoted prices.
