The activity was fast paced in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Demand was strong as traders were kept very busy tending to the many clients’ needs that surfaced after the weekend. Retailers have trucks coming in from the mills, but they are going through product faster than they have been, prompting quicker replenishment and leaning on the reloads to cover them. The mills are generally not running late, it just that expectations by many were for faster deliveries.
