Consistent demand kept a steady pace of orders flowing to both the mills and distributors in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Increased interest in 2x4 made it the item of choice to go after, especially since the mills had it available to sell and ship. Prices have been sluggish on it recently but there seemed to be fewer offerings from the mills than what there has been as of late. Prices on the other widths continued to appreciate as demand is much greater than supply with little change in sight.
