Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Strong demand in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday kept traders very busy sourcing inquiries and covering client needs. There was very little letup in the activity throughout the day. Orders ranged from quick deliveries from the reloads to extended shipments from the mills. Prices were firm across the board on all items with growing confidence observed that they were not going down anytime soon. Supply remained tight on many items. The mills had much less to offer than they have had, including 2x4.
