Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The eastern spruce lumber market ended last week on a solid footing with consistent demand and activity. Prices were firm across the board on many items from both the mills and especially from Distributors. Production woes have kept mill supply tight. Their shipments were out to mid-October with few exceptions. Distributors have developed voids in their inventories. They worked diligently to get them filled, willing to wait for material to ship to them, if they could find what they wanted.
