Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was an active start to the week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Traders were busy putting out fires or looking for the cheap lumber that their competition seem to have, and they did not. Tight supply from the mills plagued efforts to source the many demands in the marketplace. Frustration was evident for buyers with the lack of product coming from them. The impending dockworkers’ strike affecting eastern ports also had many concerned, creating much uncertainty.
