Strong demand continued to enliven the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday prompting many orders being transacted over a wide spectrum of items. Tight supply from the eastern mills kept the spotlight on distributor’s inventories to cover many of the needs seen in the marketplace. Alternative species also played a pivotal role for traders in securing orders. Prices pushed slightly higher on many items.
