Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was another day of nonstop activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Demand remained strong with a high number of orders transacted. Buyers found fewer options from the mills to cover orders as many of them had sold what they wanted or could for the week. There was also growing interest in 2x4, which has been lagging the market for quite some time. Rising prices and ongoing tight supply have kept purchases limited and more selective on the other widths.
