Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was a letup of demand, activity and the number of orders transacted in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The lack of supply and higher asking prices had their impacts as buyers second guessed decisions and hoped for cheaper options to materialize. The mills also saw a slowdown of sales. They had some additional items for sale in the market. Prices though remained firm with appreciation seen on several items. Mill shipments are out to the end of the month and into November.
