Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was a hectic start to the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Clients were out shopping for material, hoping to find less expensive wood from the mills. They were greatly disappointed in what they found. With the new week, traders were expecting more to be offered from the mills, more to trade with, but found much less than thought. The mills seemed to be running behind on their commitments, at least not shipping as quickly as anticipated. Attention turned to Distributors to fill the gap, despite at higher prices to get.
