Activity quieted last Friday to end the week in the eastern spruce lumber market. Less supply and significantly higher prices had their effect on calming demand after a very busy week. Several mills were off the market, assessing what they could come back with to start the new week. Many clients have been busier, prompting them to be more active buyers. Those in the market to buy wasted little time deciding. Prices seemed irrelevant if what they needed filled a need and delivered quickly.
