Higher prices helped slow demand in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. As a result, fewer orders were transacted with clients than in the two previous days of the week. That said, activity was still very brisk and non-stop in the market. Traders were kept busy searching for items to trade with. A lack of supply from the mills made efforts challenging. Once found though, reaction needed to be quick as the mills were steadily selling. Persistence paid off as some things were found to offer, often pricier and with longer lead times.
