Demand eased on Friday to end last week in the eastern spruce lumber market. Many mills were tapped out of product to sell after a very busy week of sales, keeping transactions lighter than they were on the previous days. Retailers relied heavily on distributors to cover a variety of needs as the mills were limited on the types of items they could sell. Strong demand pushed prices up by double digits on several items. Many mill shipments were into the end of the month. Thank you to all our Veterans for what they do and have done to keep our country free!
