Demand and sales were less than robust in the eastern spruce lumber market again yesterday. There was business transacted, some with the mills and more through the reloads, but the rate of sales has slowed this week. The lack of activity has made many complacent, not worrying too much about finding what they will need or having to pay more to do so. Yet, supply continues to tighten, and prices keep climbing higher with no indications of any of these things changing soon.
