There was steady demand for most of yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market. Activity was early, tapering off as the day wore on as many anticipated the Thanksgiving Holiday and the potential for a long weekend. The mills had some items for sale but saw little interest and orders in what was available. Prices also seemed to have stabilized for the moment with more continuity among the mills. Supply from them remains tight with many able to deliver what they did have within two weeks.
