Demand and activity were consistent in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday yet less than expectations. Some inquiry was repetitive as clients continued to look for ways to find what was needed cheaper. Traders were aggressive but found the mills less in step with them, turning down firm offers when given the chance. The mills were willing to trade but not to the levels that was needed to take the business. Distributors remained more focused, pursuing the orders on the items they wanted to sell.
