Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Some were busier than others in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. There was a hodgepodge of activity between the mills, distributors, retailers, and traders. There was demand that warranted attention. There were shipments to chase down. There were problems to rectify. Prices were suspect on 2x4 yet firm on the other widths. Traders tried being aggressive with the mills only to find them not as willing to take the deep discounts needed to make trades. Distributors were busy, having the inventory to do so with.
