Demand and activity ramped up in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday making it one of the better days of orders for traders seen recently. The mills also participated, taking small counters on the items they wanted to sell. Clients did their due diligence and seemed more determined to get commitments covered, especially with the latest dip in prices seen lately on several items. Many looked at it as an opportunity to buy as overall supply remains low and mill production restrictive.
