Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was a mixed day of demand and activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Orders transacted on the day were on the lighter side although retailers remained busy and indicated having commitments ahead. There were some with a mindset that prices were going lower and would wait to buy. There were others that felt that the recent dip in prices afforded an opportunity to bolster inventory. The mills can ship specific products this month but were also opened to selling other items that would deliver in January.
