Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was better demand and activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Buyers took advantage of soft prices and some accumulations that have cropped up at the mills due to slower sales. Orders ranged on a variety of items but 2x4 was largely targeted as it was the weaker of all the widths. The mills had 2x4 to sell and in many cases were able to deliver certain lengths of it before the end of the year. Shipments on many other items were only in the new year.
