Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand and activity eased considerably last Friday to end the week in the eastern spruce lumber market. Lower than expected published prices had many second-guessing potential purchases and backing away from the market. Regardless, overall supply remained lean as it was still very difficult to source several items or find a variety of products from any one mill. Shipments from them are predominantly into early January as many will take downtime over the last two weeks of the year.
