Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Although activity was quieter last Friday to end the week in the eastern spruce lumber market, there were buyers on the hunt for any last-minute deals from the mills, looking to cash in with published prices lower. Demand was lite as many prepared for the holidays and the potential of extended time off. Those working have an opportune time ahead of them. Mill production is sporadic with many closed altogether over the next two weeks. Shipments from them are for the first full week of January with few exceptions.
