Traders and clients slowly returned to the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Some business was transacted but orders came in at a trickle. Sales offices at many mills were also closed. New orders emanated mainly from the reloads or in anticipation for when the mills return to work. Prices were relatively unchanged as there was little to influence them either way. Expectations for a better day lies ahead as more people return to the market after having a couple of days off.
