The eastern spruce lumber market has seen a steady flow of orders so far this week. Suppliers and distributors with stateside inventories have been busy, getting most of the business transacted. The uncertainty of additional tariffs with the incoming administration continued to be a primary concern for many. The Canadian mills have held back on taking orders because of this. Retailers have also been conservative themselves, filling in as normal but also cautious and leery of the future.
