Confusion and uncertainty of potential tariffs on Canadian lumber exports dominated mindsets in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Speculation ran rampant as to what could happen to prices and its effect on the market if implemented. There was also the other side of the coin of what if tariffs were not put into effect or if there is a delayed decision on it. This all led to indecisiveness for many concerns as to what and how much to buy or sell. It also limited possible transactions on the day.
