Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Anticipation of impending tariffs on Canadian lumber exports dominated conversations and mindsets while heightening anxieties in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Despite the distraction, there was a steady stream of business transacted between clients and distributors. It made for a busy day for many traders. Most mills were off the market strategizing what to do when tariffs were to go into effect. By day’s end though, there was an accord between Canada and the U.S. delaying tariffs for thirty days.
