Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The eastern spruce lumber market returned to some sort of normalcy yesterday following a thirty-day reprieve from tariffs on Canadian lumber exports being implemented. The mills came back on the market using published numbers as a guide to price out what they had for sale. Some mills sold quickly on comparatively lesser priced items they had. Clients reviewed the updated offerings from suppliers, buying some of the items needed but not all. There was a willingness to be patient and see what happens with prices in the wake of the reprieve.
