Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The eastern spruce lumber market got off to a slower start to begin the new week yesterday. The effects of wintry weather over the weekend along with the aftermaths of digging out in the cold and wind had people moving and reacting more slowly. Some Canadian mills showed product that could cross the border ahead of potential tariffs being implemented March 1st but what they had was limited. Emphasis for clients remained with their distributors of choice for the variety of items needed most.
