Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand and activity ramped up in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Traders focused their time and efforts on sources with stateside inventories to put business together. Distributors were especially busy as clients could be confident on the wares that they had available for sale. The Canadian mills were of little help and saw few sales. Most were either off the market or quoting with inflated prices to correspond to a 25% tariff that is due to take effect early next week on exports.
