Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was much uncertainty surrounding a tariff on Canadian lumber exports that kept many at bay in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Clients were unsure about buying, and the mills were uneasy about selling. One minute you felt that the tariff would be going into effect and another you thought that a delay would occur. Demand was evident in the market, but activity slowed. Transactions were down on the day. Prices moved higher with 2x4 items leading the pack.
