Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Although it was quieter with fewer orders transacted to end last week in the eastern spruce lumber market, it was not because of a lack of demand but more so due to fewer than expected offerings from the mills. With prices lower from the previous week, clients looked to the market to find cheaper numbers on lumber but found little to satisfy their needs, especially from the mills. Distributors did their best to pick up the slack, but they were not in any hurry to adjust prices accordingly after the orders they generated throughout the week.
