Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand and activity were steady in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday despite showing symptoms of nervousness, doubt, trepidation, and disbelief by many concerns. U.S. distributors had another busy and consistent day for orders as clients gravitated to their certainty of having product and timely deliveries. The Canadian mills though saw sporadic business largely dependent on available equipment that could cross the border ahead of a potential 25% tariff on Canadian lumber exports slated to begin April 2nd.
