Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand and activity continued at a steady clip in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The selling philosophy for most Canadian mills went unchanged, quoting with a tariff consideration if implemented on April 2nd. Traders gravitated to mills without restrictions looking for deals and opportunities while retailers depended more on distributors with stateside inventories. Distributors stayed aggressive with sales especially on items they had more of but were protective on items they were low on.
