Activity slowed in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday as everyone anxiously awaited word concerning a tariff on Canadian lumber imports. With no specific news to bank on, the market drifted in no clear direction. Much of the business transacted was through distributors stateside reloads. Everyone’s hope is for a definitive decision to be made and this distraction that has plagued the market for some time would be over. All concerns seek and want clarity, whatever the decision is.
