Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was strong demand and activity to start the week yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market. Many mills, finding their way back in the market after the recent tariff fiasco, varied considerably on prices, unsure of what levels to quote and where clients were willing to pay. Traders kept close watch ready to grab any anomalies that passed by them, looking for an edge on their competition. Shipments differed among the mills with 10 days being the norm, with some later but few sooner. Demand for trucks has become highly competitive.
