Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Continued demand kept traders busy in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The mills were not as active participants as they were earlier in the week as the Montreal Wood Convention wrapped up. Buyers struggled to source products as there were fewer items available from them. Clients turned to distributors to fill in the gaps on the quicker things needed. There was a wait and see attitude to buying future needs as many paused to see what the mills will have available when they return to the market in earnest next week.
