Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The eastern spruce lumber market continued to work at reestablishing itself yesterday. Prices were soft. Traders were busy. The mills had products to sell and searched for their best returns on what they could ship. Clients had needs and were interested in buying yet remained largely uncommitted. Distributors focused on selling their higher cost items to buy lower cost replacements. All concerns wanted to lower their current inventories and reset themselves. Uncertainty of the market weighed heavily on mindsets.
