There was very little change in demand and activity in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Generated orders leaned heavily on quick shipments from the mills and distributors. With softening prices, buyers took a wait and see attitude towards new purchases. The mills continued to seek out trading levels on the various things they had for sale. Most mills were able to ship or deliver product within the next ten days. The observance of Passover this week has kept several away from the market.
