Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Concerns on the overall health of the U.S. economy have helped quell the demand and activity in the eastern spruce lumber market recently. Yesterday was no exception. Business was ok but not great. Uncertainty kept clients covering essential needs but not much more. If there was an option to transferring product from other locations, it was done. The effort was to limit exposure and keep inventories in check. Lowering prices and less than expected demand have also impacted activity and fewer sales.
