Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand eased and business slowed to end last week in the eastern spruce lumber market on a quiet note. Published prices were down last Friday on most items sending clients to the sidelines to reassess and reorganize. Mill shipments are withing two weeks but many of them lack the variety of items that distributors can put on any given order. Anticipation will be high today with what the mills will have to offer as weather improves, and the spring building season begins to ramp up.
