Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was solid demand and activity to start the new week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Clients had quick needs to cover along with some interest in buying discounted offerings. Traders spent much of their time sourcing demand and deciding how to quote the various inquiries seen. Prices varied among the mills but were more pronounced in the marketplace. The mills took small counters, but steeper ones were rebuffed. Distributors focused on their inventories and were more prone to sell what they wanted.
