There were few highlights with lite demand and activity to end last week in the eastern spruce lumber market. Published prices were down on Friday, keeping buyers away. There was little to motivate them. Wholesalers competed vigorously for the little demand and potential business that was in the market. Those with the support of distributor inventories to work with had an advantage but only to a certain extent. Most clients were content to wait and see how the market adjusts.
