Demand was lite and activity was quiet to end last week in the eastern spruce lumber market on Friday. Published prices were down by double digits on most items. There was very little to inspire or motivate buying. Despite the doom and gloom, clients have been busy. It is just a matter of time before most will need to step in and get adequately supplied. How much longer can they wait or how much further will prices drop before motivation or inspiration changes the market.
