Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was a letup in activity with fewer orders transacted in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Demand was more specific and harder to source and fulfill. Eliciting firm offers from clients were once again key to getting orders. Also, having the perseverance in finding the right price or item was important when dealing with the mills. There were wide differences in what they had, and prices quoted. Distributors held an advantage in applying inventory to orders when having the opportunity to do so.
