Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Activity picked up late yesterday after a quieter morning in the eastern spruce lumber market. An increased number of firm offers were observed on various items with seemingly little success in getting them covered. The mills had some specific products they wanted to sell but not the sought-after items that many were seeking. They were also not willing to take additional orders on items once sold. The tone in the market was not as negative as it has been, and concern was shifting more to supply than lower prices.
