Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The scramble was on in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday as many readied themselves for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Those wanting to cover needs pressed hard but found prices higher not lower and items no longer available that were earlier in the week. There were selective items the mills could deliver next week but they were much less than a couple days ago. Prices had also firmed, not due to a surge of orders but because there were fewer choices and sources to go to.
