Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Lite demand and activity capped off last week in the eastern spruce lumber market. The mills were able to sell enough during the week to establish a semblance of an order file on selective items, primarily surrounding 2x4. Other dimensions were more available and vulnerable, offering some buying opportunities. The mills primarily can ship next week and the week after with little interest to take orders on shipments farther out. They are struggling to make money and are hoping that demand improves with prices able to appreciate.
