Demand was mixed yet steady in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Clients had needs that warranted attention but nothing overwhelming. There were options to consider and the time to decide. Buying came later in the day after a slower start in the morning. The mills had many of the items left from the day before to promote while distributors kept their focus of lowering inventories. Buying was done to fill voids and not to add layers. Prices varied in the market depending on the source.
