It continued to be a grind for traders putting orders together in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Prices varied in many situations seeding doubt as to whether it was the right time to buy. Where there was need though, reaction times were much quicker. There was also little desire to extend one’s inventories as uncertainty prevailed on the direction of the market. If something was needed, it was believed that it could be had reasonably quick from distributors as well as some mills.
